Mariliz is the lead designer and director of House 2 home Design.
She was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Her ambitions in show jumping is what attracted her to the UK. She successfully represented Greece in the UK and at the biggest international shows, attaining numerous titles.
Turning to education, she gained a degree in Business and Accounting before building a career in advertising for several years. But she was yet to find her new passion. That all changed in 2007 after purchasing her first flat (which required full renovation). She embraced the process of the renovation and loved the results. Realising her flair and talent for the process she quickly bought, renovated and sold more properties over the ensuing years. There is no better way to learn than "on the job"! To further her knowledge, she studied interior design at JJADA Academy in Clapham and began working with clients to realise their home aspirations.
Now with more than fifteen years of purchase design and build expertise, Mariliz has a wealth of reliable contacts in the industry that she can call upon. These include mortgage advisors, solicitors, architects, engineers, suppliers and of course builders.

Ioanna is a registered ARB Architect in the UK who studied Architecture but also Civil Infrastructure Engineering in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Apart from her 10 year working experience in Greece, she also worked in the UK on various residential projects since 2006. The UK work involved the design of luxury specification residences, various internal configurations projects, the preparation of planning permission drawings and consultancy on design solutions in order to improve the layout of any room in the house.
She believes that every design solution should be tailored to the client’s needs and personality and that there is no generic design solution to fit every property and project. She works closely with the Project Manager to achieve the best design solution, adjusted to the unique construction circumstances and cost related issues. There are always surprises on a building site however small that is and the role of the Architect is to adjust to these conditions without compromising on the quality of the design.
She always takes the client’s preferences and requirements under consideration but her design on materials and finishes is somewhere between organic and modern. The frame of the house should follow symmetry, patterns and sequence, exactly like in mathematics. This is how you achieve a tranquil environment where nothing is left to chance and everything makes sense!
